Three adult dippers were seen up near the little bridge. A loud (dipper sounding) commotion came from the brook, within the feeding area, then a dipper shot under the bridge and towards the Coffin Lodge, whilst two dippers were spotted leaping into the water, hunting for food. It's likely that the third dipper has flown upstream to find non-poluted water. A few minutes later a grey heron sat for quite a while by the little bridge, just before sundown.
